shadows

one morning
last week
 the light
- it was a little before the ungodly hour of 7 a.m. -
was so gorgeous
I stopped to take this photo
 with my iPhone
 using Pro Camera App

 there were
 lots of pigeons
 circling
 the towers
 of
the
church

 that one
 was
 nice enough
 to enter
 the frame
 at
 the
precise
 moment
 I clicked

its almost always
 for me
 anyway
about being
 in the right place
 at the right time

 I hope
you are having
 a
wonderful
in
the
right
 place
weekend

  1. The light is wonderful but the single pigeon takes on a spiritual quality.

  3. I've always said that one part of being a good photographer is just showing up with a camera. Loved this when I saw it on IG too ~

  4. My friend just wrote me she'd taken a walk this a.m. on Belgrade's river island....at 7 a.m. While I'm up then, I'm not OUT yet by then...should go. Love that light and yellow.

  6. How kind of the bird to time her entrance in that way. You've made NYC look like Europe. Wonderful shot.

  7. Daryl, wonderful capture! The pigeon just caps off the shot to perfection!

  12. It looks like a photo from Venice rather than NYC. Lovely.

(Not that NYC can't be lovely. This photo is proof of that possibility. Still, it looks vaguely Italian.)

  16. Such magical lighting on this beautiful perspective of these buildings!

Sorry for the lateness, but I have been drowning in preparing for my annual school appraisal on Monday + teaching lessons + midyear reports! Next week back to normal!
